High School Reunion

This past weekend, Brad and I went down to Medford to attend my 10 year High School reunion. It’s crazy to think that it’s been 10 years since high school. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday and other times it really does feel like 10 years ago.

We got into Medford Friday night and stayed with Brad’s parents. Saturday we went to visit with my mom and grandparents. Then we headed to my reunion dinner at Bella Union in Jacksonville. It was actually fun to connect with some of the girls I hung out with in high school. I also connected with some people that I didn’t really hang out with all the time in high school, and that was fun. Over all, I was so happy to have Brad with me, and really wished Lindsey and her husband were with us too. I think it would have been easier to tackle the “high school” reunion with your best friend from high school. But at the end of the night, it was a good time. I’m glad I went, so we’ll see if I’ll go to the 20 year reunion (only if Lindsey goes-haha-now that was high school!)

Sunday, we went golfing with Brad’s parents. Casey, Chelsea and Caleb came over for a late lunch. It was great to see them and our little nephew, who just continues to get cuter and cuter at each visit! He is smiling all the time and we got to hear his little giggle! He is just a cutie!

Fourth of July Weekend!

Brad and I enjoyed an extended weekend! Friday night, we went and saw Knight & Day- it was entertaining!

Saturday I went with my friend Genny to see Eclipse which was so good! We can’t wait for the last two movies to come out!

Brad and I met up with Kim and Sam and we all took our dogs to the dog park. After, we decided to have a nice little picnic at the park, enjoy some cheese and crackers and a glass of wine, while we let the dogs cool down after running and playing for a full 40 minutes!

That night Brad and I experienced our first Blues Festival with Kim and Sam. It is located down on the waterfront. It has a bit of a Saturday Market feel to it with booths and there are two stages set up on either side of the waterfront on the main lawn (at least from what we could tell! We didn’t explore much). We were invited to the VIP area from Brad’s company and sat behind one of the stages overlooking the water. It was the perfect night to be there, not too hot and not too cold! We hung out for most of the night at the VIP area and listened to music and enjoyed (a little too much) the $1 Beer and Wine :)

Sunday was Fourth of July! We had Travis and Tracey over for a Barbeque. Brad cooked yummy steaks from a new marinade that he found. Needless to say, dinner was delicious! Our friend Liz joined the four of us and we ventured downtown to hang out and watch some fireworks! Portland put on some nice fireworks, although we wished for them to be a little higher! But overall, it was an impressive 25 minutes of pure fireworks! Which will satisfy my fix until next fourth of July! It was a fun fourth and we learned what to do next year :)

Hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe fourth of July!
