Our Cabo Getaway

Brad and I went to Cabo San Lucas earlier this month for a wedding of our friends Randy and Diane! There were many 'first' of this trip! First time we will be away from Evan, first time we will be away from both kids for this long, first time we've been on a trip together since our honeymoon (almost 5 years ago!!), first time to Mexico!

We had the most amazing time! We stayed at a Villa in a nice resort about 10 minutes from downtown Cabo. We got to stay with some really fun couples, including the bride and groom! We were there for a total of 6 days. We enjoyed meeting new people, hanging by the pool in the sun, one too many Corona's and margaritas, amazing authentic Mexican food, Brad went Marlin fishing!, an awesome rehearsal dinner and a beautiful wedding!

Genny and John (ironically) were also going to be in Cabo the following week. They decided to come down a few days early and we stayed a few days late for our trips to overlap and hang out!
We had a blast hanging out by the pool (which had a great swim up bar) and then going downtown Cabo for authentic Mexican dinner ‘experience’.
Cabo was so much fun! We were so excited to come home and see our kiddos as we missed them so much! Two nights after being home, Brad and I were craving Mexican food- so we continued to eat a few more Mexican dishes!

We can’t wait to go back and hope it’s not another 5 years before we take another trip with just the two of us J

A HUGE Thank You to Brad’s parents who watched the kids the entire time we were gone! The kids had so much fun and got very attached to Grandma and Grandpa! We were truly able to enjoy our vacation, knowing that Grandma and Grandpa were taking such good care of them and spoiling them very much!

9 Month Check-Up

Evan had his 9 month check up on March 25th. He currently weighs 21 lbs and measures 28 inches long!
He is getting to be such a big boy!
He is crawling so good- and is super fast! He is eating more solid foods- like cheerios, bananas, crackers and his puffs. He has two bottom teeth in and currently is working on the top teeth.
He sleeps through the night with ease and I believe we are finally getting out of that phase of waking up at 5:30am every morning :)
He takes his two naps during the day and is usually in bed by 8pm.
He will play with anything that Sage is playing with. He'll spend most of his time, chasing her around and trying to grab at whatever she is doing. We are trying to teach her to tell her brother "no thank you" but really, that doesn't get us anywhere.
He loves to climb the stairs, but has no idea how to go back down.
I know I'll eat my words after saying this, but I really can't wait for him to walk.
We love to kiss those cheeks every day!!
We cannot believe he'll be 1 in just a few months!!
