Fetrow Family Reunion

Last weekend, we traveled to Sisters to attend Brad's family reunion. His Aunt and Uncle hosted all of us at their ranch and we had lots of fun hanging out. Each family wore a specific color, our Fetrow family was green! How appropriate :)

We had a rough start to our trip, with Sage getting car sick. We had to eventually turn around and head back home to switch out her car seat. Brad and I had just bought her a new car seat and her first time in it was this trip- we learned a lesson there. We felt so bad for Sage. We got back on the road around 8pm and luckily had a smooth trip to Eagle Crest. Sage also had her first experience swimming in a big kid pool- she was not quite a fan, but she sure looked cute :)

It was great to visit with everyone! Some of which we haven’t seen since our wedding :) Thank you to Mike and Lynda for providing the accommodations.

All the grandkids and their significant others and great grandchilren!

Peek- A- Boo

Sage likes to play Peek-A-Boo with us. So cute!
It's kind of hard to see, but you get the point. I'll be sure to make an effort to get more video using the iPad rather than my iPhone :)

Visit with my Grandparents

My Grandparents made a trip up to the Portland area to visit some family. They stayed with us last Thursday and got to spend the evening with us and see Sage! We haven’t seen them since Christmas, so a visit was long over-due and we were so excited to see them!!

Papa brought a special doll for Sage and I think Sage will grow to love this cute little doll :)

Eleven Months

Eleven months old and counting! We are trying to enjoy each moment we have with Sage at this age! She is SOOO much fun. Each night we get sad that we have to say goodnight because we want her to stay up and play with us! (Who are the parents?!)

Sage is a busy little girl who is really starting to understand her little world!

• She can now grab the remote, press buttons and look up at the TV to see what is happening. I’m not joking!! Brad and I have seen her do this several times and we just can’t believe how smart she is to know that!
• She is walking more and more- still a little uneasy with her balance and steps, but she sure is practicing a lot!
• Her favorite is to jump on the couch. She loves to bounce off the cushion pillows and roll around. That has become part of our nightly routine somehow; a habit we’ll probably need to break!
• She loves to play Peek-a-Boo with us. Her way of playing Peek-a-Boo is to turn her head and then swing it forward to show us her face. We have to yell Peek-a-Boo with her to get her to giggle and continue with the game.
• She is eating bananas that I cut into pieces for her. We have tried avocado and squash- not a fan of either. She can tolerate eating broccoli for a few bites. I’m going to try other foods like peaches, bread, grapes, steamed carrots in the next week. We’ve been a little shy about giving her solid foods as she still has no teeth!!
• She has learned to High-Five!
• She loves to share. She'll give you what she is playing with, but the change her mind after a second of you having her gift. At least we are learning this concept :)
• We are still practicing our sign language. We are learning how to sign for Eat; Water; Milk; More; Mama; Dada; Bath-time. We’ll work on more once she gets the hang of these few signs. And no, she hasn’t signed any back to us yet…but it will be so cool the day she does!!
• She likes to read books- her way of reading is just to turn as many pages as she can, and do it all over again- at least it’s a start :)

An update on her rash: We were able to get into a dermatologist on Monday, but of course, her rash was completely gone with the help of using steroid cream/ointment. The doctor thinks that it may have been a viral infection that manifested itself into a rash. But, good news is, if/when this rash appears, he’ll get us in right away and we’ll take a biopsy of it to determine what it may be. Hopefully, it won’t happen again- fingers crossed!

Happy 11 months baby girl!

Walking

A few weeks ago, I posted a video of Sage taking her first steps! Since then, we've been practicing her walking. She’ll walk a few steps here and there, but that isn’t her main mode of transportation yet, she still likes to crawl everywhere!

The past few days however, she has been determined to walk more and try to get to places by walking. So, I fear our crawling days will be over very soon and she’ll be off running.
It’s fun to see her get excited about her new milestone! =)

So far, the first week with Mandie (our Nanny) has been going great! She takes the girls for a walk each day and has sent us a few pictures. They are just tooooo cute, that I can't help but share!

Another Doctor Visit

Yesterday we had to take Sage to the Doctor. This is our fifth visit since May dealing with her skin issues. She has a rash all over her stomach, back, legs and diaper area. We were the last appointment of the day, so we got to spend some time consulting with the Doctor. She even brought in another Doctor to consult with to determine a diagnosis for Sage. What they came up with is the it is Eczema and to get Sage referred to a Pediatric Dermatologist at OHSU. Right now, we are treating Sage with a steroid cream (which she absolutely hates when we put on her) and giving her special lotion to help her skin.
We are happy that the doctors spent time with Sage to try and determine what it is, but we are a little discouraged at the fact that we don’t know “exactly” what it is and how we can treat it and more importantly, how do we prevent it!!

But good news is, Sage is still a happy, smiley little girl who demands the attention of everyone around her! So we are grateful that she doesn’t seem to be bothered by it.
We’ll keep you posted once we get in to see the Pediatric Dermatologist.

Swimming is Fun

Sage has been swimming in her kiddie pool a few times since we got it last week. She was invited over by the Bales boys to have a pool party last week as well.
She enjoys the pool, if it's not too cold.
Here are a few pictures that I just had to post- so cute!!

They love each other!

Kisses!!

NO!

Sage thinks the word "No" is funny- we are in trouble!
Our favorite is her little face in the end- hehe!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a wonderful day celebrating the 4th!
We started the day off with participating in a 4th of July parade with the Myers. We decorated the wagon and the girls were all dressed up! It was a lot of fun and Sage had a great time. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

We spent the afternoon playing in the sun. Sage got on her swimsuit to go swimming for the first time in her new pool! At first, she wasn’t sure, but then she loved it! She loved to splash around and had a lot of fun.

Brad was very excited to make a great dinner for us- he made ribs, veggies and baked potato! All this food was made on his new Traeger grill- and it was so delicious!! He is becoming quite the Grill Master!

After dinner, we went outside to shoot off a few fireworks we bought for Sage. We made sure to only get fireworks that sparkled and that didn’t make any whistling or popping noises. She enjoyed it for the most part, until one of them popped and crackled and then she became scared of them =) She did a great job sleeping through all the fireworks around us. Brad and I did go outside to enjoy all the illegal fireworks around us and finish off our fireworks =)

Happy 4th of July!!
