Blankie!!
I had washed Sage's blanket a week ago and it got lost with putting laundry away. I found it and put it on her bed today. Mandie said she was SO excited to see it when she went down for her nap. And she was just as excited to see the blankie when she woke up!
She is soo funny- and you can see it from these pictures!
So thankful for Mandie to always capture these funny moments!

Evan's Crawling!!
Can't believe this little boy is crawling! He started on his tummy and trying to pull himself to places. He finally figured out the knees could move just like his hands! I was able to see him take his first movements with crawling- just like Sage! It was great!
That was Thursday Feb. 13th- by the end of Valentines day, he was able to get from one spot to the other- slowly!
Now, almost two weeks later- he is crawling all over the place. He'll be in the living room and make his way to the kitchen! He loves to chase after his sister- and Sage gets a kick out of "Evan coming!"
Just like Sage, he crawled right over to the couch and pulled himself up- although he didn't do it in the same day of crawling like Sage did. But after a few days he figured it out.
So now we are dealing with him learning how to stand, keep his balance with his wobbly legs and make sure he doesn't fall and bump his head!
It's been fun watching him explore and also exhausting as I'm constantly picking up things that he could potentially put in his mouth and choke on!
Enjoy this cute boy "hopping" as he crawls!!

"I'm a Princess"
Sage is very into dressing up! I bought her a snow white
dress the other day and it came with several pairs of toddler princess shoes-
with each pair to a princess- Cinderella, Ariel, Snow White, Aurora, Rapunzel,
etc. Kim brought over a few dresses of Laila’s to share so both girls can play
dress up!
Sage LOVES the dresses- she has to get the dress, crown and
shoes. And then she walks around saying “I’m eh pincess” SO cute!!! And her new
favorite thing to do is dance. She’ll put her hand around our neck and holds
our hand with her other hand- and we ‘twirl’ and ‘dip’. Brad was able to
capture a video of it that I’ll post later!
In the meantime, enjoy these precious pictures of our little
princess!!

Our first trip to the ER
A few weeks ago- we had a fun little snow storm that shut down Portland for
about 4 days. Even Big Al's closed- which I never thought I would see the day
:)
Both the kids had been sick the week leading up to the snow storm that started Thursday. Evan started his cough and a slight fever on Monday- and he seemed to be getting somewhat better on Wednesday. By Friday, he seemed to be worse after having a few rough nights dealing with Evan. I spoke to two doctors on Friday and got advice on how to treat and take care of Evan. By late Friday afternoon, I started to hear Evan wheeze while breathing and I started to panic. Called the doctor and they advised us to take Evan to the ER to get checked. So, we packed up the car (with food, blankets, etc.) and drove to the ER in several inches of snow. We made it without any problems and got in fairly quick to get Evan treated.
The nurses and doctors could visibly tell that he had restricted breathing and started him on Albuterol treatment. We had a chest x-ray done to rule out pneumonia and bronchitis. The results came back negative- phew! The final results came in and he did have an ear infection- which is why he had trouble eating and had fevers and restricted breathing. We got lots of medicine for him and off we went home. The whole outing was about 4 hours! Not bad- we made it home just fine- put the kids to bed and Evan only woke up once! He was 10 times better the next day!
For the rest of the weekend, we stayed close to home- we didn’t want to chance going out and exposing the kids to more illness.
Both kids are healthy and doing well!
Here are some pictures from that crazy weekend!
