Laila and Sage got to play in the snow before it all melted! Sage built her first snowman ever!

Evan's Baptism

On Sunday, January 26^th, we baptized Evan at St. John Fisher Church- the same church Sage was baptized at nearly two years ago!

Grandma and Grandpa Fetrow made it up for the ceremony and got to spend some time with all of us. Evan wore the same gown his Great Grandfather Clarence Fetrow wore and Brad and Sage also wore it for their baptism. Lynda specially cleaned it to make is pretty and white- and we all crossed our fingers as we tried it on our little chunky monkey- and it FIT!!! Phew!!

This gown is 93 years old! I must say, Evan looked SOO precious in it.

We have a very nice, intimate ceremony with Kim and Sam, who are Evan’s Godparents, Nick and Alicia (Sage’s Godparents) and Brad’s parents.  

It was a special day to celebrate our little boy!

Kid Update!

I’ve realized I haven’t been doing good with keeping up with the kids and their growth and development. Mostly, this is for me so I can look back on J

Can’t believe this little boy is 7.5 months old!

We had his 6 month check up on New Year’s Eve. He is doing great and is right on track.

He weighs 19 lbs and measures 27 inches long.

He had been sick a little bit in December with a runny nose and cough.

He’s enjoying eating solids- bananas, squash and sweet potato are his favorites. He doesn’t really eat the puffs all that well, so we’ll try again in a few weeks. He is now on a full diet of formula as I have decided to throw in the towel with breast feeding. I wish I could have done it longer, but very happy and proud of myself for going 7.5 months. My supply just wasn’t adequate for him and because it was a stress to try to keep it up. He is constantly in the scooting position, but we have yet to see that step forward into crawling. But we are so close!!!

He is always smiling and giggling all the time. He’s starting to talk more and more- he likes the sounds of his little voice. He is rolling everywhere. More than Sage ever did. He can roll, spin around and gets himself to where he wants to be.

He is down to about two naps a day and goes to bed at 8:30pm and wakes around 6:30am. He sleeps through the night- every once in a while he wakes up and needs to be rocked to sleep (but that only is about 10 minutes). He can reach for his own pacifier and put it in his mouth (just like Sage).

He is always looking at Sage and often finds her funny (I mean, who doesn’t!) He loves watching Mickey Mouse with her and taking baths together.

Sage is still the same with Evan- loves on him when she feels like it. If we force it, she doesn’t want any part of that. Actually, she is VERY stubborn when we request or force her to do something. I think once Evan is crawling or walking, she’ll have more interest in him. But we’ll see!

I give a 1,000 kisses a day to Evan. I think that is all I do- I hold him and kiss his cheeks!! He is in 12 month clothing- a big boy! His hair is growing in and it’s a dark blonde and straight- I have yet to see a curl in it. He's got the cutest little chubby hands and feet! ohmygoodness- those are my favorite :)

Sage is doing great! She is talking so much more now. I can understand what she is saying and she repeats her phrases all day. She says “Bye” in the cutest way. She loves to wash her hands and dry them when I ask her to. She is doing a good job on brushing her teeth each night (getting those front ones is our biggest challenge, but somehow we can do it!) She loves wearing her blue slippers and then  “spinning”. She knows her alphabet and counting up to 10! She knows her shapes and colors too. She loves to color, often calling it “colors”; she’ll spend a good 30 minutes quietly coloring. She is just pure fun!! Brad and I have noticed that we have to let Sage do her own things, her own way for it to be successful. The end result is always the same, but Sage has her own way of doing things and we’ve been trying to really let her do it all. I’ve noticed with this new approach, how independent she is. It’s so fun to watch her, take her time with things, like brushing teeth, changing clothes, etc. In the past, we’ve always been in a hurry to get it done. Now, I don’t care how long it takes- because she is accomplishing it all on her very own.

She is still a picky eater- she loves her sandwiches, breakfast bars, oranges, mac and cheese and spaghetti! I love playing with her hair- every morning, I brush it and braid it or put it up. She still loves to watch Mickey Mouse and Little Einstein’s, but we’ve also added in a new cartoon called Super Why! When she giggles, she puts her hand up to her mouth. When we ask her to listen, she'll cup her ear so she can hear. She is learning all her animal noises and her favorite is still saying a cow "moooooooo". 
She goes to bed at 8:30pm and loves sleeping in her little toddler bed. We read a few books and then say goodnight. 

We are loving these two ages of the kids! Evan is so easy and so happy! And Sage is so funny and silly!

That’s what keeps us busy every day!

I'm 32!?!

How did that happen!? I feel like I'm still 22!
I had a nice birthday!
The weekend before, I headed up to Whidbey with all my Phi ladies to have a nice, relaxing girl getaway! It was so fun to spend time with the ladies and catch up without the distractions of our little kids and husbands. The girls made me a homemade "black" velvet cake and I was spoiled with a few presents!
On my actual birthday, I spent with my little loves and big one :)  We had a yummy dinner and hung out. Sage was so excited to help me blow out my candle. Once she did it she would giggle and say "a-gan?" So, we made a few wishes!
