Story Time!

On Saturday morning, I got an earful from Sage. She had a really important story to share with me :) I grabbed the camera for this speical moment! It was about a six minute story, but here's just a little bit for you!

My Promotion!

On Thursday, I was offered the job of the Event Manager at Big Al's!!! I'm soooo excited and happy! I really like my job and looking forward to this new challenge! I manage a staff of 11 banquet servers and two office staff and manage $1.2 million in events!

I came home to flowers and a card! Brad made me a nice salmon dinner and a cake!! It was incredibly sweet! My favorite part is Brad had said Sage picked out the card because upside down it said MOM! Thank you Brad for being so supportive of me and taking care of our sweet girl each day!

Gangy’s Visit

When we were in Medford last weekend, we stayed with my mom on Sunday night and she drove back to Portland with us on Monday morning and spent the week with us and visiting Travis and Tracey! We had a fun little week with all of us just hanging out! It was nice to have my mom around because we have been trying to get Sage in a routine and do a little sleep training with her. We finally figured out a flexible routine and Sage can finally be placed in her crib without getting terribly upset and can self-sooth to put herself to sleep! SUCCESS!!! We always love when Gangy comes to visit and we can’t wait for her to come back!

Grandpa’s Retirement

Last weekend we drove down to Medford to celebrate Mike’s retirement, his last day of work was February 29th! We left early Friday afternoon to get down to Medford in time to surprise Mike for dinner, as he didn’t know we were coming down for the weekend. We pulled up, grabbed Sage’s car seat and placed it in front of the door, rang the doorbell and hid around the wall. He was absolutely surprised to see Sage just sitting there in her car seat! Saturday was such a beautiful sunny day in Medford. We took Sage on a walk but didn’t have our stroller, so we used the toddler stroller which she did great in. We put her in, buckled her up and she held on to the steering wheel and never let go. She was sooo serious during her “driving”, much like her mama! It was so cute!! That night we had a nice little family dinner to celebrate Mike.
Sage had a fun time spending the whole weekend with Grandma and Grandpa!

Popi’s Visit

My dad was travelling for business last week and decided to make a pit stop in Portland before heading home. We are glad he did!! Sage was thrilled to see Popi! She would just stare at him and smile =) But her most favorite thing I have ever seen her like so far is when Popi throws her in the air and catches her! She had her first full giggle with Popi and it was the cutest thing ever! I really wish we could have captured it on video, we tried at least. But we have not heard her giggle after that, no matter how many times we try to do what Popi did. I guess it’s just not the same, only Popi does it right! We loved having my dad visit and can’t wait for him to visit again!!

Six Month Pictures!

A few Saturday’s ago, we took Sage in to get her six month pictures at Kiddie Kandids (inside Babies R Us). We had such a great experience and the photographer was so great with Sage! We got as many shots as we wanted and ordered a ton of prints!
She is the cutest and we can't help but smile every time we see her pictures!!

In 3 more months, we'll look into getting her into baby modelling- that's right, following in mama's footsteps- she'll master the "adorable" pose very soon :)

Six Month Check-Up

Okay, I'm a little late with this posting, but I forgot to give you Sage's stats at her check up on Feb. 17th!
Weight- 16lbs. 3 oz (55 percentile)
Height- 25.25 inches (32 percentile)
Head- 17 inches (71 percentile)
Basically, our little miss is a shorty with a petite figure and extremely smart with her big developing brain- hahaha!

Sage had sooo much fun taking a stroll with mommy and daddy! She loved being in this car and did not take her hands off the steering wheel for one second! It was so cute!!
