Cooking Dinner!

Sage is helping cook dinner tonight, by being adorable!

Ready...Set....CRAWL!!!

Sage is on the move! It all happened soooo fast!! It was Wednesday April 18th that Sage took her first two movements forward. After that, we practiced a little bit and by Saturday morning...she was on the move! It is SOO fun to see her learn and get so excited about her new found freedom. The good news is, she learned how to crawl!! (since rolling over was such a struggle!) The bad news is, she has learned how to crawl to the couch and stand up, which ultimately, is the only thing she wants to do with her time now =)
So, now that she has mastered the crawling, she is now putting her efforts into shuffling her way up and down the perimeter of the couch! As proud parents, we took a ton of pictures and videos. Here are just a few :)

Taking a break from all that hard work!

Eight Months Old!!

Sage is Eight months old! I remember when I was eight months pregnant with her!! I wish I could slow down time, as she is changing and growing so fast. Literally, it is overnight! One minute she is struggling to do something, the next minute-she has it figured out!
I think this age is by far our favorite stage of her growth! We can actually see her learning things and figuring out things!

A day in the life of Sage:
Sage wakes up at 6:45am and talks to herself for about a good 15 minutes. I go and grab her at 7am and we go out to the living room and play and then we eat breakfast which is usually oatmeal with bananas, apples or pears. Yummy! After that she watches me get ready for work- she is mesmerized by the hair dryer :)
After I leave for work, Brad puts her done for her morning nap and she’ll sleep for a good 90 minutes. He spends the morning playing and entertaining her. Then comes lunch! She goes down for an afternoon nap around 1:30pm and sleeps for another hour or so! She spends the afternoon with Brad playing or running errands and sometimes a visit to mommy’s work =)
After work, I rush home so I can spend the next three hours with her. Our nightly routine consists of playing, hugging and kissing, sharing the details of our day, eating dinner, bath time, reading and evening bottle!

Sage can now get into a crawling position and scoot herself backwards. She can back herself up into a sitting position now! No more being stuck on her belly! She can grab onto something sturdy and pull herself up into a standing position (!!) She is talking just the same and can now say “ga ga” and “kkkkha” like she is saying “duck” or “book” (clearly she is not, but sounds like it =) )

She is a master of putting her pacifier back into her mouth. She can sit in a grocery cart all by herself and almost prefers that than the stroller. And now she is STANDING UP in her crib! Yikes- what happened to our little baby girl?? She is sure adventurous! We love just watching her, talking back with her and seeing her learn all kinds of new things.
Brad and I keep talking about going on a date night, but we just can’t seem to tear ourselves away from Sage! We love just being with her and want her to go everywhere we go!

First Ride with Daddy

Sage went on her first run with Brad. I think she liked it or perhaps she was terrified :)

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter last weekend! We’re looking forward to when Sage can really get into it! The Bales family invited us to join them for the second part of their Easter activities and we had a fun little backyard play date. It was a nice and relaxing day! Thank you Bales family for inviting us to be a part of your Easter :)

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny visited us! Thanks daddy/hubby :)

Sleep All Night!

Sage has slept through the night for over a week now!!! She goes to sleep around 8pm and wakes up at 7am. Yay!!!

Boo-Boo

Sage got her second boo-boo yesterday. The first time was a few weeks ago from her rolling over on her changing table and hitting the edge with her face. Yesterday she was playing and fell forward on her stacking cups, hence the black and blue ring under her eye. Both injuries have happened under mommy's watch...oops! (my husband wanted me to add that note, so thoughtful of him :) )

Not Happy

This is one of our favorite faces of Sage! We can't help but laugh every time she cries, it's just so darn cute :)

We Moved!!

WE MOVED!!! We never thought those words would come out of our mouths! On January 14th, we moved into our new three bedroom, two bath house! Key word-HOUSE!! No more condo!!! Our new home, which we are renting, has enough space for our little family of three and we could potentially fit another person in here at some point ;)

We have two family rooms, a little dining room, a kitchen that opens up to one of the family rooms, a guest bathroom, our own bathroom, a two car garage, a charming little back yard with a little deck and patio and lots of storage!! And the location is PERFECT!!! We are so close to lots of stores (Costco, Babies R Us, Fred Meyer!), my work is only 7 minutes away (all back roads, so I don’t deal with traffic!!) and we live so very close to all of our friends!

What happened to our Condo?? We moved during the time we were still in the process of short-selling it as we had to be out of it by March 5th. We weren’t sure how long our search would take to finding the perfect house within our budget! So when we found our new home, we took it straight away as we have been searching most of December and knew this was the home for us!

The condo FINALLY SOLD!!!! Can I please say that again? IT FINALLY SOLD!!!!! We signed papers on February 21st and we handed over the keys on February 28th! Although we will miss the condo as it holds some very special memories, our first home together, where Brad proposed, Dexter, and Sage’s first home! But we are excited to build some new memories with more space and an extra bathroom- hahaha!
