I took an unexpected trip down to Medford at the end of
October to see my grandparents as my Papa was in the hospital. It was another
trip down, all by myself with the kids!!
The drive down was great- I picked them up at school and
they slept pretty much half way. We stopped in Roseburg to take a potty break
and stretch the legs. The ipad was our friend the rest of the way back!
I was able to spend some time with mom and Grandma on Friday
night and then we took the kids up to see Papa! It was a surprise for him to
see me!! Sage was so cute and asking Papa “you sick, Papa???”
We spent the night Friday with Mom and Dad Fetrow and the
kids were excited to see them!
Saturday, Lynda babysat the kids while I was able to spend
the full day with Papa and Grandma.
It was great to be able to spend the day with both of them,
helping them discharge Papa from the hospital and then getting him home,
resting and eating!
My heart was filled with being able to be there and support
both of them as best as I could. It’s not fun being away from family, but
thankful I am just a car ride away. It was a nice short visit and the kids did
so good with just me!
