September

Okay, it’s November and I’m blogging about September. Taking me a while to get things documented!!

September was a good month- we were pretty busy every weekend with traveling. We spent Labor Day weekend hanging around the house and just catching up from all of our busy August weekends. The second weekend, Popi and Nana came out to visit us. We all drove up to Pasco to visit the Casey family and spent some quality time together!

At the end of that weekend, I went out with some co-workers to see the Shania Twain concert- which was an absolute blast!!

The following weekend, Brad had a guy’s weekend up in Puget Sound, so I took the kids down to visit my family. It was such an awesome weekend!! I got to spend a lot of time with my grandparents and all of my cousins and family came over for a Saturday night party. It was fun being around them all and to see all of our kids playing together! Just as we did when we were kids.

The next weekend I went to the beach with Alicia and her mom and sister. It was a fun little girl weekend and the weather was perfect!

We were still pretty active with Evan’s speech therapy and making little progress. 

It was a good month, but really busy, which didn’t feel like summer really ended and we jumped into fall. The kids were healthy for the month and we just enjoyed our time together!!

Beach Weekend in August

Okay, I was doing so well in August documenting a lot of what was going on over the summer and then the last few events of the summer and jumping right into fall left me really no time to blog.

So, let’s begin where I left off.

The last weekend in August we went to the beach with the Bales family. It was an absolute blast!! Soooo much fun. The kids all got along so great and the adults had time to play some card games! It was a big race that weekend Hood-To-Coast and the weather was terrible. There was a severe storm that rolled in causing a lot of wind and rain that the race had to cancel all their festivities on the beach since all the tents, stage, supplies, etc all blew away for collapsed.

But the weather didn’t stop us from having fun! We went to the beach the first night and before the storm came in. We got cozy on Saturday and played lots of board games. Once the weather cleared up a bit, we did go outside to get some fresh air. Sunday the weather was beautiful- you couldn’t even tell there was a huge storm the day before. We went down to the beach and played and fed the seagulls. Went back to the house to finish cleaning up and while waiting for laundry to dry- we made the spontaneous decision to stay for another day and night!

It was a great weekend- the kids loved it, the adults had their fun and it’s just awesome hanging out with your best friends!!!
