We spent the weekend of August 14-16 camping at a ranch that
we all used to go to before we had kids. It’s called Iron J Ranch and is the
home of our friend Ben’s dad, Jim. This year, we decided to take the kids down
to go “camping” while still having the luxuries of a house J Everyone was invited,
but only the Myers, Genny and Mac, Liz and us could make it.
We set up camp in the back yard and the kids did great
sleeping both nights in the tent in their little sleeping bags. Sage was very
excited to be in a tent and camping.
We cooked our meals in the kitchen and played outside quite
a bit. We walked the property, played whiffle ball up at the mini Fenway West
ballfield, laid in the hammocks, went swimming and even practiced my golf
swing.
It’s the perfect place to just hang out, play and explore!
We were able to celebrate all the August birthday’s between our friends and just
have a good time together. I hope we can do it again next year!
