This past weekend was Memorial Day and we headed down to Medford to spend time with both our families and it will be the last time we head that direction prior to Baby Fetrow’s arrival. We got in Friday evening and spent time with Mom and Dad (Fetrow). Saturday we went into Jacksonville for lunch and a little shopping!
We headed over to visit with my family on Saturday evening. My cousin Bree and her family came over for Abby’s pizza night! We had a great time catching up and having the little ones entertain us. Sunday we headed over to the Jacob’s for the annual Memorial Day BBQ- which is always fun with great food (including my favorite flank steak) and fun games!
We packed up the car and headed home on Monday! It was fun to get down to see everyone. There is something about Medford that I always love coming home to!

Okay-I have to explain this picture of me and my Papa! Ever since I found out I was pregnant I just HAD to get a belly picture with my Papa! I was on a mission to have our bellies side by side in a picture! It’s mostly because of a childhood joke of always asking about Papa’s belly- and now that I have one too, I feel like we were even more alike =)

Pregnancy moments from the past two weeks:
*We registered at Babies R Us!! Brad and I were so excited to do this! We got there, got all set up with our notes and special gun! Where do we start!? We started at aisle #1 where we probably spent about 10 minutes staring at a wall full of pacifiers, bottles, bottle cleaners, bottle nipples, etc. It was a bit overwhelming. The question I asked most often was “Do we really need this?” And Brad’s answer was mostly “Who the hell knows, let’s just register for it, in case we do!”. My favorite moment was when I was trying to compare two products only to look up and see I’ve been talking to myself and Brad has apparently moved on without me- I finally find him in the bath toy aisle and watched him register for every toy he picked up. I have a feeling Brad is going to love “Bath Time” just as much as his kid! =) We spent about two hours registering (again, I was doing a lot of "hmmm...do we need this!?") and I was exhausted after that!! Brad took me to dinner and a movie to get our minds off of baby wipes and teething rings!
*During Week 25, I was experiencing some severe round ligament pain-which is a thick ligament that holds my uterus in suspension within my abdomen. As I continue to grow in size and weight, these ligaments become very long and thin, stressing and tensing like rubber bands, causing pain. Ouch!!
*Baby Nugget is still pretty active! Brad has said it doesn’t feel like a “bump” anymore and more like a hand or a foot pushing out! I find that I often just stare at my belly, watching for the movements!
*We’ve reached double digits! We are 96 days and counting until Baby Fetrow arrives!
Baby Update:
Baby now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches from head to heel! Baby’s learning to distinguish right side up from upside down. He or She can now open their eyes and acquired the ability to move their head around. Aww!!
Our next Dr Appt is next week- we are looking forward to it!
